VINTAGE MILITARY VEHICLES

Vintage Military Vehicles this year will be presented as a section of the Vintage and Classic Car Event.

The vehicles on display at our event are representative of those used by service men and women past and present and their owners are duly proud of the historical value they achieve.

Machines of war they may be, but they are also a memorial to those who relied on them and died in them.

All of the vehicles on show here at Woodvale are privately owned by individual members and, like all other vehicles over three years old, they are subject to an annual MOT test although they may only a cover a fraction of a family car’s mileage.

The main focus of members’ interests is on the restoration of vehicles of the Second World War, mostly British and American, but un-restored examples from this period are becoming increasingly difficult to find — so much so that vehicles deemed too expensive to rebuild ten years ago are now being restored.

All owners of Military Vehicles are invited to attend as individuals and not as members of any particular club, all are welcome.
